#AFPrepost ? @yeaungthu - Myanmar's child monks become royalty for a day -
In this photo taken on March 30, 2017, a novice-to-be monk sits amongst others as they wait to begin an elaborate parade through town during a ceremony that will see them be inducted into a monastery or nunnery order in the village of Myinkabar. Buddhist tradition in Myanmar requires everyone to spend some time in a monastery or nunnery before the age of 18 in what is viewed as an important coming of age ritual. Others, however, are there for the long-term, destined for a monastic life.
