スイスのジュネーブにあるヴァシュロン・コンスタンタン本社でのトレーニング最終日は、腕時計の装飾について世界最高峰の時計技術を持っている職人の方々から学び、実際に体験をさせていただきました。ギョーシェ彫りと言われる繊細な装飾仕上げ。地金に彫金を施してから釉薬を流し込んで絵画のように仕上げるエナメル加工。腕時計の裏側やムーブメントなどにノミのような器具を使って彫金をしていくエングレービング技法。腕時計の内側に入っている心臓部のムーブメント作りからはじまり、外側の芸術的な装飾まで、この3日間で学んだ腕時計作りは、どれも非常に難しく、気が遠くなるような作業の連続でしたが、なぜヴァシュロン・コンスタンタンの腕時計が世界最高峰であり、高額であるのかがわかりました。ヴァシュロン・コンスタンタンの腕時計を身に着けることは、スイス人たちの誇りであり、1755年から連綿と続くスイスの時計産業と伝統文化や芸術を後世に伝えていくことなのかもしれません。ヴァシュロン・コンスタンタンの皆様、今回、素晴らしい貴重な体験と経験をさせていただき本当にありがとうございました。この場をお借りしましてお礼申し上げます。最後は、とてもスタイリッシュで素敵なチーフマーケティングオフィサーのLAURENTさんと記念にパチリ！ 来年1月にスイスのジュネーブでお会い出来ますように。
