Happy World Tourism Day! To celebrate this day with you, we would like to take you back to the moment where the first Dutch passenger flew to London on board of a leased KLM plane, De Havilland D.H. 16 G-EALU, on the 17th of May 1920. M.J. van den Biggelaar of “De Maasbode” wrote an extensive account of the event for this Rotterdam newspaper. When they arrived in London he wrote: “As if in a dream I wandered through the City, just four hours after leaving Amsterdam.
