Today we would like to introduce "PORTER WISE", which is a series of small leather accessories using horse leather that are receiving favorable reviews.
The hides used for this series were gathered from various countries in Europe and tanned at a tanner specialized in horse leather which is a very rare type of tanners in Japan.
The oil that is usually used at the last finish is put inside the drum when dyeing the leather, so it will soak into it very well. Then this leather is polished to create the smooth and soft texture. You could also see some irregularity in shades of the color. Each and every one of them are slightly different. Moreover, you are able to enjoy the natural aging process upon usage since oil is soaked into the leather.
The Travel Wallet is in a size that could fit a passport, boarding pass,. You could also use it as a crape wrapper since it also fits gift money envelopes.

本日はご好評いただいている馬革の小物シリーズ「ポーター ワイズ」をご紹介いたします。
ヨーロッパ各地で集められた原皮を、国内では数少ない馬革を専門に取り扱うタンナーで仕上げました。通常では仕上げで用いるオイルを、染色の際に一緒に入れてドラム内で革に浸透させています。こうして出来た革の表面に摩擦加工を施すことですべすべとした、とても柔らかな風合いが生まれます。微妙な色合いのムラが表情をより豊かにし、同じように見えてもひとつひとつ異なるのが特徴です。また、オイルを染み込ませているため、使うほどに味わい深い経年変化を楽しめます。
