The magnificent Rhinoceros. We came across one this morning that was killed and stripped of its horn by poachers just hours before. Seeing a slaughtered Rhino was shocking and truly heartbreaking. Some people believe Rhino horns have medicinal properties, and is as valuable as gold. Truth is, a Rhino horn is made of keratin, the same thing human hair and nails are made of. No cure for anything whatsoever. These animals are killed for no reason, and could be extinct in a few years.
サイは自然が創造した美しい動物です。今朝、サイの遺体を見つけました。数時間前に密猟者によって殺され、ツノがもぎ取られていました。虐殺されたサイは、私にとってショッキングなことであり、心を引き裂くような衝撃を与えました。ツノの成分はケラチンですから、人間の髪の毛や爪と同じです。治療効果など全くないのが事実です。ですが、サイのツノは薬効があり、金と同じくらい価値があると信じている人々がいます。このように間違ったことを信じる人達から、サイは理由なく殺され、絶滅の危機に追い込まれています。
