Ute Schaarschmidt is a marathoner and a Type 1 Diabetic. She regularly fought low blood sugar levels following long trainings and would have to prick her finger multiple times a day for glucose readings. But not anymore thanks to Abbott’s glucose sensing system. She ran the BMW Berlin Marathon last year wearing one.
