Ready for an altered cinematic experience? Reserve your ticket for Wednesday’s screening of “A Movie Will Be Shown Without the Picture,” presented by Louise Lawler in conjunction with her exhibition “WHY PICTURES NOW.” This influential work was first staged in 1979 at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, California. And just like in 1979, the artist has not specified which film she will screen, only that the film will be projected without its image. Really, we have no idea what you’re in for. Tickets for the May 10 screening are available at mo.ma/2oVJ0vr
