At the turn of the 20th century, accessible public education was a radical idea. The 1916 summer Teachers Institute at @brooklymuseum seized upon this wave of change, and offered lectures that focused on educating students for an uncertain future, and defining expectations of a public school graduate. Calling upon this legacy of teacher-focused, radical, and inclusive programming, this year we celebrate 100 years of the Teachers Institute.
