Today is the centenary of Marcel Duchamp’s 'Fountain', and we are joining museums worldwide to honour 'the most influential artwork of all time', according to a 2004 BBC survey. 100 years ago in New York, for the first exhibition of the Society of Independent Artists, Duchamp had sent in a urinal under the name of Richard Mutt. When 'Fountain' was rejected, Duchamp resigned from the selection committee in protest. On Level 4 of Tate Modern, the 1964 replica of 'Fountain' is currently on display. Share your impromptu homages, readings, and performances via #Fountain100.
