The JABCECC is excited to collaborate with researchers in helping to sequence different versions of a gene that may have implications on the development of certain cancers. James Sacco and his team at Drake University are currently conducting cutting edge genetic research using DNA sampling from various canids with the potential to generalize the results to humans in the future. Mikhail (pictured), Maksa, Sophia and Ishy were more than happy to provide his team with samples. And to round out the Canid team, Archie and Luxx our NGSDs and Lola and Nutters our GSDs were super excited to participate!
