Check out the new #humberstreetgallery @humberstreetgallery Back in the 1960's skipper Len 'Pongo' Rood and chief engineer Gordon Mason painted the original image of the dead bird, 'Dead Bod' on the side of a corrugated iron shed.
For decades it was a signal for the crews of passing ships that they were nearly home.
