Today at 4pm, curators from the Department of Ancient Near Eastern Art and the Department of Islamic Art will give ten-minute talks on art created between the fourth millennium B.C. and the 19th century in the lands that are now Iraq, Syria, Iran, and Yemen—four of the seven countries affected by the recent U.S. travel ban. Taking place in the galleries of the Ancient Near Eastern Art and Islamic Art departments, the talks will focus on different works of art in the permanent collection and will be followed by conversation with visitors.
