As the main trading post between Japan, China and Southeast Asia, it was really interesting to see how the Okinawan people took aspects from each culture and fused it to their own. I'm glad I was able to have a job followed by a vacation in Okinawa that wasn't only fun but I was able to learn a lot about a culture and people I didn't know that much about before
