Title: Bella No.7 ?ARTIST NOTE? let me start by saying I love this piece. This STUDY which now has become the foundation for the final portrait, was difficult for me to do because the family made it clear the importance of the blue butterfly to the portrait. My artist internal ego was like.. " fuck butterflies" completely the wrong attitude.. It took me weeks of sketching to get full mock up sketches like this to show the family. I was reluctant to bend my artistic will , but I'm glad I did because this portrait pushed me in a direction and I had to solve a problem creatively. Which by definition is what we really are "create people who solve problem with our talents" .. what did I learn put your ego aside and do what you do.. so here to hitting it hard in 2017.
