We love how contemporary artists find inspiration in the past. Although the video and sound installation “Contrapposto Studies, I through VII” might seem firmly rooted in the present day, artist #BruceNauman was inspired by antiquity. His stacked figures and line of projections—seven in total—are a reference to classical friezes and sculptures.
