Hankyu Umeda Main Department Store has announced that they assigned Taki TANAKA, the owner of IZA and COO of Gruppotanaka Co., Ltd., to an adviser for their mode division which located in its 3rd floor. Her main responsibility is to train their sales personnel. By embracing her advise, they are aiming to improve the quality of their hospitality and gain new customers into the store. Taki TANAKA is running luxury boutiques called IZA both in Tokyo and in Osaka, managing its selection and sales services, along with her import business of distributing several brands such as N°21 and CO|TE. Akira TAMITANI, division manager of Hankyu Hanshin Department Women's Wear Third Section, says, "We were able to improve our selection by the renewal we boldly conducted this March, but we still have problems with our sales results. It is very challenging to gain loyal customers for our newly introduced mode brands. Multi-brands shops which carry mode brands are normally establishing close relationship with their customers by offering thoughtful and hospitable services. We believe there are many things to learn from such shops, as we tend to focus solely on sales performances. I really count on her experiences and vitality. Her responsibilities vary from the COO of a trading company to an owner of her boutique, its chief buyer and so on... She effectively uses SNS to better communicate with her clients. What is more, she is doing her business based in Osaka. She is familiar not only with fashion trends all around the world through her international activities but also with local characters which are quite unique to Osaka. That means a lot for us.".......
