The exhibition 'YOHJI YAMAMOTO / Mode Photo, running from Saturday, 17 Dec, 2016 until Sunday, 15 Jan, 2017 at Daikanyama Hillside Forum
Fashion photography is often referred to as the “mirror that reflects the times” but Yohji Yamamoto’s mode photography had not been subjected to such notions. Whether it would be from 30 years before, Yohji Yamamoto’s clothes look current and do not exude a sense of time. His work has been put forth to the world through the lenses of a range of fashion photographers. This exhibition will show the original prints and posters of these photographers together in one place. The Yamamoto's documentary movie by Wim Wenders and the legendary wedding dress from 1999 will also be shown. Yohji Yamamoto’s creation that has always been at the forefront of every period will be shown across a range of mediums including photography, videography and music. Please take this opportunity to enjoy the visual world of Yohji Yamamoto.

東京オペラシティ アートギャラリーで開催中の「画と機」の関連展として、代官山ヒルサイドフォーラムにて「YOHJI YAMAMOTO / モード写真」展(12/17-'17/1/15)を開催します。
山本耀司の服は、様々なファッション写真家達の眼をとおして世に送り出されてきました。本展では、そのオリジナルプリントやポスターなどを一同に展示。さらには、ヴィム・ヴェンダースによるドキュメンタリー作品やランウェイをもとに制作された映像作品、伝説として今でも語り継がれている99年のウエディングコレクションなど、写真、映像、音楽の領域を横断し、常に時代のその先へと広がる山本耀司のクリエイションを紹介します。
