This Spring, we launched a commitment to help green five US cities in five years. Each year, we will choose a different city where we have at least one retail location, and match that square footage with the creation or restoration of an equal amount of green space for the community to enjoy.
We chose NYC as our first project location. 100 volunteers rolled up their sleeves and partnered with @GrowNYC to transform a neglected 32,000 square foot lot into a beautiful garden filled with growing vegetables, picnic tables, and community space to be enjoyed by all.
In recognition of #GivingTuesday, we are celebrating this project coming full circle as our team recently put finishing touches on the site, and officially opened the garden for locals to enjoy. We are excited to see this space flourish and we have our sights set on the next city on our list. #timberlandserves
