The fact that one of my heroes, Richard Kenvin, wrote the article and that a bunch of my friend's photos are featured is all a bit hard to grasp.
This whole thing would have never come to be if it weren't for @derekdunfee and his film and photography skills.
I will avoid trying to explain how big of a role the surfers journal has played in shaping my perspective on surfing and life in general over the years, by bringing surfing's rich history and characters into my own headspace.
