Ambassador @mattallenbaugh gets paid to hike. As an Appalachian Trail Ridgerunner, he patrols a 28ish mile section of trail in western Virginia that includes Dragon’s Tooth, McAfee Knob and Tinker Cliffs, known as Virginia’s Triple Crown. Three to four days per week he spends time on the trail, chats with hikers about Leave No Trace and the local flora, fauna and natural features, does light trail maintenance, reports any trail issues and occasionally helps with lost or injured hikers.
