The sun is rising on another jobs report day in Larose, #Lousiana. How bad is it there? Moncla owns the largest fleet of drilling barges in the world. 9 of its 11 barges are currently not being used because of low #oilprices. That figure will likely grow to 10 at the end of the month. Rates are also plummeting. At the peak, Moncla could charge $18,500 a day to use one its #barges. Today the company is struggling to find a client to rent it at $12,500 a day. Moncla has made major cuts to its #workforce, going from 650 employees down to just 250. Brian Sullivan is reporting live all day. (? Brad Quick).
