"For our upcoming project, 'Blackout,' we are creating a room-scale, immersive reality experience that takes place on the New York subway. Like most people in NYC, I’m incredibly fascinated by the subway, the diversity of people, and the spoken and unspoken connections between them. On a deeper level, the work wants to show how much variance of experience exists in a single place. Our ultimate hope for this is to move away from the fear of the other or the extraneous, and show people that being able to listen to one another, and talk to another person that you don’t know, and know that they’re a deep well of experience, is the most important thing for sustaining our culture."–James George
