With #DisguiseBKM just weeks away, we're looking at—and through—masks from the #BKMAfricanart collection. The Guro think of masks as spiritual beings, neither human nor animal, who were captured in the forest and brought to villages. This mask, with features strongly resembling those of a baboon, was used in a men’s association that served to settle disputes and maintain social order.
