Ah yes! And behold the very first glimpse of the Polar Bear Fang, and just the tip top summit! We had hiked about two miles, and many more to go. It's funny how perception of distance can change in the mountains. A mountain can look a couple miles away, when it's actually ten or more. I am always fascinated by how the landscape and mountain faces change with every step. Mother nature is an artist that never ceases to amaze!
Our goal was to stand on top of that pointy summit, so close, yet so very far away. Little did we know of the crazy glaciers and crevasses we would have to cross to hopefully reach the tower. At one point, I was sure we had to turn around, it would take every bit of skill, mental and physical focus just to hopefully reach the tower. ? @MikeLibecki #TBT #Expedition #Greenland
