It is an overwhelmingly fun side project that has never failed to make my life more interesting, but there's no doubt that there are moments of frustration, and in those moments, I frequently ask myself Why? But it's more than just a simple why do I keep doing this? More often than not, what I'm really asking myself is what purpose it serves to take photos of my outfits. In the grand scheme of things, the size of my wardrobe is of limited significance. The simple act of putting on clothes is not a skill, no matter how well a person may wear them. I love fashion, but there is so much more to me, and to my life, than what is hanging in my closet. Not everything in life needs to have a deep and meaningful purpose, of course; my sunglasses certainly don't have any special meaning but I love every pair I own and the fact that they bring me pleasure is enough. The same can be said of a fashion blog; while I will never advance medical science or end a water shortage, but I think - I hope - that I can be a source of inspiration, whether it's related to style or to getting out and seeing the world. And that, in itself, is a purpose. But when there is a chance for me to do more, I never hesitate, so I was delighted when Shlomit Ofir approached my about designing a mantra bracelet. My mantra - life is beautiful - is engraved on a gold-plated bracelet that is part of a special capsule collection for International Women's Day. Part of the proceeds from this collection will go to support a charity for women in need - because not everyone is lucky enough to live a life that allows them to do something as fun and fabulous as writing a fashion blog, and a little bit of help from those of us who are that lucky can go a very long way."
