"Longs Peak in @RockyNPS is one of my favorite places on this planet (so far). Its northeast face (The Diamond) is a playground for alpine rock climbing. Topping out around 14,000' the whole world rolls out beneath your feet. I had been up the wall seven times before I finally went to the true summit, just last summer. To commemorate that fact, I did the drawing I had always WANTED to do of it.
Sometimes I knock out a little sketch on the mountainside or from my tent, but this one took a week of drawing and a lot of ink. After inking I scan the art at 600 dpi before going in with my watercolors. This way if I botch it, I can just do a print on watercolor paper and start over." - @jercollins_com
