"He broke down haikus of wit and derision, painted on the walls of Soho, into single words and phrases. As he syncopated words, with passages of color sometimes borrowed from Abstract Expressionism and sometimes not, the texts themselves fell into rhyming discordancies, not unlike the rise of rap.
