Japanese Shintoism believe there're 8 million Gods in the world,
and they thought Gods live in every single thing.
They believe that all of Gods gather at Izumo Shrine in this time of the year for the meeting. (Now It's a part of Shimane Prefecture )
So, it's Kamiarizuki now [Gods existing month]
in the State of Izumo,
and it's kannazuki [Gods absent month]
in the other area.
