Happy birthday my sweet Zimba who is turning 16 today.
So much has happened in our lives lately. But he is the living proof of NEVER TO GIVE UP. Since July he is a happy indoorcat. Who walks in a leash just like Strawberry and Fnatte.
We almost lost him in July when he was attacked by an agressive cat. He was in very bad shape. As U know, he has stage 3 kidney disease. And that made the surgery and anesthesia even more risky. And then the antibiotics. But we had no choice. The surgery was a success. But it was a long way back. He had a funnel for over a month. We took daily walks. Handfed him. He lost so much weight and it was scary. He needed our attention 24/7.
He is a fighter. We did it! He has gained over 0.5 kg and his appetite is great. His wounds have healed. He has accepted to be an indoorcat. And his last checkup for the kidneys made us so happy; they are at the same stage as last time. Stable.
