My husband and I got back from our Hakone trip today and until just a few minutes ago, were having dinner talking about how nice the trip was and how happy we were that our friends enjoyed it. To think that all of the innocent people in Paris who were attacked were probably enjoying their night with family and friends just like us makes me so sad, so scared, and very confused. It's so hard to believe, but it could really happen to any of us. As President Obama said, this is an attack on all of humanity. I pray for Paris and for all of us. I pray for all of the the terrible attacks taking place around the world to end.
今日は箱根から帰ってきて、さっきまで彼とローエンたちに楽しんでもらえてよかったねなどの話しをながら食事をしていました。今回の事件に巻き込まれてしまったパリの人々もこのように普通に家族や友達と楽しい一時を過ごしていたんだろうなと思うと本当に信じられないし、怖いし、とても悲しい複雑な気持ちになります。オバマ大統領が仰っていたようにこれは、パリの人々への攻撃ではなく、人類への攻撃、本当にそう感じます。パリの人々だけではなく、世界中の人々にこれ以上悲しいお知らせがないことを祈ります。
