Globalization is not a new phenomenon. In Ptolemaic and Roman Egypt, ideas, styles, and beliefs were exchanged and assimilated. Under Greek and Roman rule, many Egyptian artists continued to create Egyptian style sculpture, but the work of Greek artists became increasingly popular.
