What a difference a few days make...down with the Confederate Flag and now the legalization of Gay Marriage.
Its tough growing up gay in a Puritanical society that says you are not worthy in the eyes of God. Then it's coupled with your government condoning your rights being marginalized because you are gay. The outcome breeds nothing but self hate, low self esteem, addiction, unbelievable struggle and if your lucky ..a hell of a lot of therapy!
By having full equality, we will only strengthen the overall society as well as the LGBT community and the individuals who live within.
Congrats to everyone on such a tremendous day.
