Barbara #Hepworth acquired Trewyn Studio in the centre of St Ives in September 1949. She immediately began working in the space and lived there until her death in 1975. While living in Trewyn she wrote hundreds of letters to family and friends describing the inspiration and contentment she felt in St Ives.
