In 1996 my good friend from Sweden Gordon and I got tired of doing so much work to frames that we paid good money for. When we tore bikes down for paint we realized that we changed just about everything. It seemed like a waste of time and money. Gordon and I Looked at each other and said "Why don't we make a everyday rigid frame the way we want it, from scratch". That's just what we did, the CFL frame was born. Perfect rake and stretch, and dropped seat makes a bike that not only rides great. It looks good with the rider on it. Bike with rider is a combo that I feel like a lot of builders miss. They make a bike that looks neat on the bike lift, but when its riding down the road? Looks awkward, and not tailor made. The CFL hits all marks, and above all they are easy to build for the garage builder. I would venture to guess more CFL's have been built by a Dreamer in his modest garage then all the shop built ones. To me that's what its all about.
